Glover 06/07/99 Jack Thurman Glover, 72, 97 Hilltop Drive, Bristol, Va., died Sunday, June 6, 1999, at the James H. Quillen V.A. Medical Center, Mountain Home, after an extended illness. Mr. Glover was a native of Carter County and a son of the late William Thurmand and Glenn Smith Glover. He was also preceded in death by two brothers. Mr. Glover had lived a number of years in Bristol. He was retired from the Russell Manufacturing Company, Lebanon, Va., and was a member of the Midway Baptist Church, Bristol. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Ruby Chambers Glover; two sons, Ed Glover, of the home, and Larry D. Glover, Johnson City; a sister, Mrs. Golda Pierce, Butler; a brother, Buster Glover, Aberdeen, Md.; a granddaughter, Brandi Glover, Meadow View, Va.; and two step-grandchildren, Derik Green and Todd Green, both of Johnson City. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. GLOVER -- Funeral services for Jack Thurman Glover, 72, 97 Hilltop Drive, Bristol, Va., who died Sunday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Tuesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Dexter Terry and Rev. Eric Godfrey officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home. American Legion Hammond Post #3, Kingsport, will provide Military Graveside Honors. Pallbearers will be selected from his Sunday School Class. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
