CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Velma Glover, 23 Apr 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Velma Glover Mrs. Velma Glover, 88, Dixie Bee Road, Clarksville, Tenn., died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 in the Gate Way Medical Center, Clarksville, Tenn. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Charles W. and Cora Buckles Vandeventer. She had lived in Clarksville for the past four years. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, Elizabethton. Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by her husband, Fred W. Glover; a granddaughter, Lynette Taylor Brashears, and a nephew, Allen Vandeventer. Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Shelby and Robert W. Taylor, of Clarksville; a sister, Pauline Nave, of Elizabethton; two brothers, Philetus and Clifford Vandeventer, both of Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Lisa McCarson; a great grandson, Ian Micah Smith; one niece, Shelia Wyatt, and three nephews, Justin Nave, Carmen Vandeventer and Douglas Vandeventer. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. GLOVER -- Funeral services for Mrs. Velma Glover, 88, Dixie Bee Road, Clarksville, Tenn., formerly of Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, April 23, 2003 will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Rick Shelton officiating. Interment will be held in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
