Goodwin 12/13/99 Hazel E. Goodwin, 82, 305 Crook Street, Hampton, died Saturday, December 11, 1999, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Goodwin was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late William Lafayette and Mollie Wilson Goodwin. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Arsie, Wilson and Ray Goodwin, and three sisters, Bradis Oliver, Retha Smith and Lillian Goodwin. Mrs. Goodwin was a member of Union Baptist Church and a retired employee of Bemberg Corporation. Survivors include two sisters, Tressie Campbell, Gray, and Juanita Kite, Blackstone, Va., and three special nieces, Geraldine Livingston, Glida Reed and Judy Scalf, all of Elizabethton. Several other nieces and nephews also survive. Goodwin, 82, 305 Crook Street, Hampton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Rev. Haskel Ingram officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Debby Range, soloist. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Melvin Livingston, Dr. Eugene Galloway and Thad Ingram. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Tuesday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
