Willard E. Gouge

Willard Earl Gouge, 84, 1403 Broad Street, Elizabethton, died Wednesday, 
November 13, 2002 in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. Mr. Gouge was a 
native and life-long resident of Carter County. He was a son of the 
late Avery and Etta Kelly Gouge. He was a Christian and a Navy veteran 
of World War II. He was preceded in death by three brothers and two 
sisters.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Eva Hardin Gouge; one daughter 
and son-in-law, Loretta and David Range, of Lubbock, Texas; one sister, 
Mary Evelyn Gouge Hicks, of Johnson City; one brother and sister-in-law, 
Paul "Bo" and Dorothy Gouge, Elizabethton, and one grandson, David Glenn 
Range, of Lubbock, Texas. Several nieces and nephews also survive. 
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

GOUGE -- Funeral services for Willard Earl Gouge, 84, 1403 Broad Street, 
Elizabethton, who died Wednesday, November 13, 2002, will be conducted 
at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 16, 2002 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with 
the Rev. Dennis Wilson and Rev. Burl Garland officiating. Entombment 
will follow in the Mausoleum of Peace, Happy Valley Memorial Park. 
Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home 
at 2:55 p.m. Saturday will be Jerry Gouge, Teddy Hicks, Richard Hardin, 
Jonathan Hardin, Tommy Hayes, and Clinton Road. Honorary pallbearers will 
be Gene and Paul Gouge, Terry, Terry Ray, and Mark Dalton. The family 
will receive friends from 2 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.

charge of arrangements.
