CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Robert M. "Bob" Greene, 19 Apr 2003 ----ددد---- Robert M. Greene Mr. Robert M. "Bob" Greene, 79, First Scott Drive, Johnson City, died Saturday, April 19, 2003, at NHC Healthcare, Johnson City, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Greene was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Rhonda and Clara Shull Greene. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret "Tommie" Ward Greene. Mr. Greene was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was an employee of American Bemberg Corp. for many years, and retired from the Pet Dairy Corp. He was a member of Skyline Heights Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Pauline Carder Greene, of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Steve Lewis, Elizabethton; one son, Robert "Skip" Greene, Elizabethton; one granddaughter, Whitney Greene, Johnson City; one grandson, Alan Lewis, Elizabethton; one great-grandson, Chandler Lewis, Elizabethton. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. GREENE -- Funeral services for Robert M. "Bob" Greene, 79, First Scott Drive, Johnson City, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2003, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Revs. Haskel Ingram and Donald Page officiating. Music will be under the direction of David Arney, organist. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Military Honors will be accorded by Capt. Lynn H. Folsom V.F.W. Post #2166 and Bryan Combs, bagpiper. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Davenport, Jay Hodges, Ed Donaldson, Jim McCurry, Bill West and Alan Lewis. For those who desire, memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, Tennessee Affiliate, 4205 Hillsboro Road, Suite 200, Nashville, TN 37215. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 12:30-2:00 p.m. Monday, prior to the service. Friends may call at the residence any time.
