Beulah L. Griffey

Mrs. Beulah Lee Griffey, 71, 446 Whaley Town Road, Butler, died Thursday, 
August 8, 2002, at her residence.
Mrs. Griffey was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Nat 
and Varina Younce Campbell. She was also preceded in death by a daughter-
in-law, Rachel Griffey, and three brothers, Howard Junior Campbell, Robert 
Campbell and Buster Campbell.
Mrs. Griffey was a homemaker and a member of Fish Springs Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Otis Ray Griffey Sr.; a son and daughter-in-
law, Otis Ray Griffey Jr. and Patsy Griffey, Butler; five sisters, Virtie 
Griffey and Cynthia Brown, both of Butler, Brenda Schenck, Johnson City, 
Noletia Andrews, Hampton, and Edith Smith, Elizabethton; two brothers, 
Johnny Campbell and Bearl Campbell, both of Butler; a grandson, Tony Griffey, 
Butler; and a special friend, Vivian Forrester.
Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

GRIFFEY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Lee Griffey, 71, 446 Whaley Town 
Road, Butler, who died Thursday, August 8, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. 
Saturday, August 10, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Burl Sluder 
and the Rev. Ronnie Campbell officiating. Music will be provided by the Sugar 
Grove Quartet. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. 
Sunday, August 11, in the Campbell Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be 
nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and neighbors. The family 
will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Friends 
may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the 
cemetery at 1:50 p.m. Sunday. Condolences may be e-mailed to the Griffey

arrangements.
