Grindstaff 08/05/99 Wilma Williams Grindstaff, 71, 154 Maple Tree Lane, Watauga, died Wednesday, August 4, 1999, at Roan Highlands Nursing Home, Roan Mountain, following an extended illness. Mrs. Grindstaff was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Glen Rex and Beuna Sheffield Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Fletcher Grindstaff, and two brothers, Nat Williams and B.G. Williams. Mrs. Grindstaff was a member of Central Baptist Church of Johnson City and a member of the American Association of Retired Persons. She was retired from the Tennessee Department of Human Services. Survivors include a son, Joseph C. Miller, of the home; a daughter-in-law, Sonya P. Miller, of the home; and two grandchildren, Jordan Miller and Sydney Miller, of the home. Several cousins also survive. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. GRINDSTAFF -- Funeral services for Wilma Williams Grindstaff, 71, 154 Maple Tree Lane, Watauga, who died Wednesday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, with Dr. Ronald F. Murray and Rev. Darrell Holly officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be A.D. Sonny Fletcher, Lannie White, Larry White, Gary White, Todd Williams, Jeff Williams, Richard Tetrick, Jeff Campbell and Ambers Wilson. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
