Guinn 01/25/99 Mrs. Delia Bell Simerly Guinn, 70, 109 Raymond Chambers Lane, Roan Mountain, died Saturday, January 23, 1999, at Pine Ridge Care Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Guinn was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late John Landon and Susie Chambers Simerly. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Warren Gentry, in 1993, her second husband, George Guinn, in 1996, six brothers, Dayton, Jim, Rob, Jake, Dave and Lawrence Simerly, and an infant sister. Mrs. Guinn had lived in Kingsport for 41 years and in Carter County since 1993. She was of the Free Will Baptist Faith. Survivors include two step-sons, Martin Guinn, Marion, N.C., and George Guinn Jr., Cleveland, Ohio; a step-daughter, Juanita Ollis, Boone, N.C.; a brother, Lydie Simerly, Roan Mountain; and two sisters, Katie Marzano, Roan Mountain, and Mary Ruth Tolley, Kingsport. Several step-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, several sisters-in-law, and a special friend, Ford Julian, also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. GUINN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Delia Bell Simerly Guinn, 70, 109 Raymond Chambers Lane, Roan Mountain, who died Saturday, will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, with Rev. A. Scott Greene and Rev. L.D. Berry officiating. Music will be by Margaret Smith, soloist. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in the Hall Cemetery, Tiger Creek. Everyone is asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Monday for the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hall Cemetery Fund, Tiger Creek, c/o John Henry Simerly, 111 Raymond Chambers Road, Roan Mountain, TN 37687. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday, prior to the service. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
