CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - James F. Guinn, 87, 24 Aug 2002 ----¤¤¤---- James F. Guinn James F. Guinn, 87, 376 Watauga Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002, in the Sycamore Shoals Hospital. A Carter County native, Mr. Guinn was a son of the late Will and Rhoda Moore Guinn. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Mary Easter Marie Edwards Guinn, Jan. 28, 1996, by a son, Robert Guinn, a granddaughter, three brothers, Jess, Claude and Frank Guinn, and two sisters, Irene McKinney and Belle Stevenson,. Mr. Guinn was a retired construction worker. Survivors include six daughters, Joyce Howard, Johnson City, Bettie Clark, Frieda Henegar and Lorraine Sizemore, all of Elizabethton, Lisa Herman, Watauga, Judy Reviere, Greeneville, and four sons, Pat Guinn, Larry Guinn and Ronnie Guinn, all of Elizabethton, and Ricky Guinn, Hampton, one sister, Madge Beckett, Elizabethton, 32 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. GUINN -- Funeral services for James F. Guinn, 87, 376 Watauga Road, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2002, in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. A.G. Wagner officiating. Interment will be in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. Tuesday until the service hour. Friends may also call at the residences of any of the children.
