CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Howard Guinn, 11 Feb 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Howard Guinn, 80, Magnolia Street, Elizabethton, died Friday, Feb. 11, 2005, in the Ivy Hall Nursing Home. He was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Dave and Julie Sims Guinn. He was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was also a former cab driver with the Yellow Cab Company. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Guinn was preceded in death by a son, Rondal Guinn, in 1996. Survivors include one son, Louie Guinn, Kingsport; one daughter, Judy L. Guinn, Denver, N.C.; two grandsons, Timmy Nidiffer and Chance Williams; one granddaughter, Starr Nidiffer Johnson; two great-grandsons, David Nidiffer and Josh Williams; one great-granddaughter, Jackline Brooke Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, in Memorial Funeral Chapel, with Pastor Jim Murray and Pastor Danny Price officiating. Interment will follow in Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Roger Ledford, Bill Mosley, Dean Malone, Dean Stevens, Darrell Guinn, Larry Dean Markland and Harlan Guinn. Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Johnson, John Hoffman, Joe Adams, Eddie Guinn, Tracy Haynes, F.D. Elliott, Charles Ledford, Lester Elliott, members of the Carter County Rescue Squad and the doctors and nurses of the Johnson City Medical Center. The family will receive friends from 2-3 p.m. Monday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of Margie Guinn, 506 Blevins Avenue, Elizabethton.
