Lockie J. Guy

Lockie Jane Guy, 93, Hayes Ave., Hudson, N.C., formerly of 1483 
Poga Road, Butler, died Friday, April 18, 2003, at the residence of a 
daughter, Sylvia Potter, Hudson, N.C., following a brief illness. 
A native of Carter County, Mrs. Guy was the daughter of the late Joseph 
Abe and Addie Birchfield Trivette. She was preceded in death by her 
husband, Herbert Guy, one son, John Henry Guy, and three brothers, 
Charlie Trivette, Sr., Lackey Trivette and John B. Trivette. 
Mrs. Guy was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ, Poga community 
and was a homemaker. 
Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Sylvia Potter, 
with whom she made her home in Hudson, N.C., Frankie and Roy Harmon, 
Hudson, N.C., Mary Lou and Michael Nave, Butler, four sons and three 
daughters-in-law, Hermon and Jean Guy, Hudson, N.C., Glen and Gladys 
Guy, Sugar Grove, N.C., Raymond and Christine Guy, Butler, Richard 
Guy, Butler, 14 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, several nieces 
and nephews, special friends, Rana Trivett, Butler, M.R. Stacey, Granite 
Falls, N.C., Charles Swink, Hudson, N.C., Eula Hatley, Hudson, N.C., 
also survive.
Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, 423-542-2232, is in charge of the 
arrangements.

GUY -- Funeral services for Lockie Jane Guy, 93, Hayes Ave., Hudson, 
N.C., who died Friday, April 18, 2003, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. 
Monday, April 21, at Piney Grove Church of Christ, Butler, with Mr. 
Dean Estep, Minister and the Rev. Charlie Trivette officiating. Music 
will be under the direction of Piney Grove Church of Christ Church 
Choir. Interment will follow the service at Trivette Cemetery, Butler, 
Tenn. Active pallbearers will be selected from grandsons. Honorary 
pallbearers will be Dr. John Whitlock and Sheriff John Henson. The 
family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, April 20, at Tetrick 
Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, or friends may call at the residence 
of a daughter, Mary Lou Nave, 156 Dark Ridge Road, Butler, Tenn. any
