Harmon Mae Lambert Harmon, 86, 2217 Lakeland Drive, Johnson City, formerly of the Southside Community of Elizabethton, died Monday, March 12, 2007, at Johnson City Medical Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Hobert and Etta Vines Lambert. Mrs. Harmon was one of the oldest members of the Elizabethton Church of Christ. She was an avid quilter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Harmon was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy Ray Harmon, and a brother, Allen Lambert. Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Raymond Harmon, the true love of her life, a daughter and son-in-law, Judy and Bobby Campbell, and a son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Elizabeth Archer Harmon, all of Johnson City; two grandchildren, Leanne Chauncey of Clermont, Fla., and John Harmon of Johnson City; two sisters, Mattie Lewis and Selma Vines, both of Butler; a brother, George Lambert of Butler; one uncle, Lee Vines, and one aunt, Hazel Vines Smith, both of Elizabethton; and two special friends, Sue Storey and Debbie Oliver. Many nieces and nephews also survive. The Celebration of Life service for Mrs. Harmon will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 15, in the Riverside Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home with Mr. Roby Ellis, minister, officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home or at the residence at anytime. The graveside service and interment will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 16, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Those attending are welcome to meet the family at 9:15 a.m. Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be John Harmon, Sammie Harmon, Wayne Harmon, Jeff L. Vines, Shane Lambert, Mark Ray and Harold Bill Campbell. Honorary pallbearers will be the men of Elizabethton Church of Christ. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to Elizabethton Church of Christ (Building Fund), 137 East C Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
