Charles R. Horton Sr. 





    Charles Robert "Butch" Horton Sr., 62, 710 Blevins Avenue, Elizabethton, 

died Friday, December 7, 2007, at his residence after a lengthy battle with 

cancer. 





    Mr. Horton was preceded in death by his parents, Marshall and Laura Stover 

Horton; three brothers and two sisters; and an only son, Charles Horton Jr., 

September 8, 2007. 





    Survivors include a sister, Betty Magee, 710 Blevins Avenue, Elizabethton, 

and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 





    A special "Thank You" to Medical Center Hospice and Mr. Shane Casey. 





    Memorial services for Mr. Horton will be held at 12 noon Saturday, 

December 15, at Phillippi Baptist Church, Elizabethton, with Rev. Joseph 

Holifield and Rev. Ernest Widby officiating.
