Humphrey Ms. Margaret Louise Humphrey, 75, 141 River Road, Elizabethton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving Family, on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at Johnson City Medical Center unexpectedly. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Gurney and Gertrude Davis Humphrey. Ms. Humphrey was a member of Valley Forge Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Nellie Crisp and Naomi Harrison. Survivors include two very special nephews, Buddy Crisp and Joel Crisp, Elizabethton; a special brother-in-law, Wayne Crisp, Elizabethton; and special friends, Judy Vines, Shirley Franklin and Judy Deloach, Elizabethton. The funeral service for Ms. Humphrey was conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday, January 5, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home, Elizabethton, with Mr. David Siebenaler, minister, and Mr. Clay Bailey, minister, officiating. Music was under the direction of Gail Campbell. The family received friends in the funeral home chapel from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday, prior to the service. Friends may call at other times at the residence of her brother-in-law, 142 River Road, Elizabethton. The graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 6, in the Jenkins Cemetery. Those who wish to attend are asked to meet at the funeral home at 1:15 p.m. Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Larry McKinney, Tom Franklin, Buddy Ward, Lester Guinn, Joel Crisp and Mike Malone. The family would like to express a special thank you to the staff of Ivy Hall Nursing Home, Judy Deloach, nurses, CNAs, housekeeping, therapists, laundry department and dieticians for all their tender loving care of Ms. Humphrey.
