CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Harriet B. Hacker, 4 Aug 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Mrs. Harriet B. Hacker Mrs. Harriet B. Hacker, 88, West "I" Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, August 4, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Hacker was a native of Jacksboro, Tenn., and had resided in Elizabethton since the 1940s. She was the daughter of the late William A. and Bessie Hobbs Brickey and was also preceded in death by her husband, Theodore B. Hacker, in September 1993, and two brothers, Walter H. Brickey and William Brickey. Mrs. Hacker was retired from the First Peoples Bank, Jonesborough. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Elizabethton. Survivors include two sons, Theodore "Ted" Hacker Jr., Elizabethton, and William C. Hacker, Glastonbury, Conn. Six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. The committal and entombment service for Mrs. Hacker will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, August 8, in the Chapel of the Mausoleum of Peace of Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Harrison Taylor officiating. Music will be under the direction of Mrs. Brenda Pelham. Honorary pallbearer will be Frank Gentry. The family will receive friends at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, August 7. Everyone will meet at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Friday for the committal service.
