Earcel C. Hamby

Earcel Cornelia Hamby, age 82, of Church Street, Elizabethton, died Sunday, 
June 22, 2003 at Hermitage Health Center.
She was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Dewey and Flora 
Barnes Hamby. She attended the Believers Family Church.
Survivors include a brother, Kermit Hamby, of Buck Mountain; a niece and her 
husband, Mary J. and Dewey Hale, of Elizabethton; a special great-
niece and her two children, Gerry Braswell, and Brianna and Chucky Braswell, 
of Elizabethton, and two special friends, Sandy Campbell and Cathy Campbell, 
both of Elizabethton.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home.

HAMBY -- Graveside services for Earcel Cornelia Hamby, age 82, of Church 
Street, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, June 22, 2003, will be conducted at 2 
p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2003 at the Hamby Cemetery, Buck Mountain, with pastor 
Eddie Childress officiating. Active pallbearers will be Chad Matherly, Greg 
Letcher, Willie Braswell, Terry Campbell, Ronnie Blevins, and Josh Presnell. 
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 23, 2003 in 
the chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. Friends may also call at the home 
of her niece, Mary J. Hale. Online condolences may be sent to the family
