CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Pauline Vanhuss Hanson, 12 Nov 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Pauline V. Hanson Pauline Vanhuss Hanson, 77, formerly of the Valley Forge Community, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, November 12, 2002, at LaFayette Nursing Home, Fayetteville, Ga., following a brief illness. Mrs. Hanson was a native of Carter County and had resided in Tampa, Fla., for the last few years. She was the daughter of the late Milburn and Elizabeth Crowe Ellis and was also preceded in death by two husbands, three brothers and three sisters. Mrs. Hanson was a beautician and had owned Paula's Beauty Salon in Tampa, Fla. She was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Eastern Star. Survivors include two daughters and a son-in-law, Martha and David Davis and Jonie Williams, all of Fayetteville, Ga.; a son, Robert "Bobby" Hanson, Tampa, Fla.; two grandchildren, Lilian O'Neal and Amy Chaves, both of Fayetteville, Ga.; and two sisters, Ann Simerly, of California, and Martha Pilkington, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. These services entrusted to Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. www.Funeral- Plans.com/Hathaway-Percy HANSON -- Funeral services for Pauline Vanhuss Hanson, 77, of Fayetteville, Ga., formerly of the Valley Forge Community, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday, November 12, 2002, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, November 14, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway- Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Conner Godwin officiating. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 15, at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Jerry O'Neal, Brad Betsill, Sheb Williams, Glenn Williams, Jerry Williams and Milburn Ellis. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Friends may also call at the old home place of Elizabeth Ellis, which is the residence of a sister, Martha Pilkington, 112 River Road, Elizabethton, at any time.
