CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Maudy Harrald, 19 Sep 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Maudy Harrald, 73, Thunder Road, Roan Mountain, died Sunday, September 19, 2004, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital, following an extended illness. A native of Washington County, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Isom and Daisy Gobble Hall. She was preceded in death by a son, Herbert Lynnwood Harrald and a brother, Henry Hall. Mrs. Harrald was a homemaker and of the Free Will Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Albert Dean Harrald, of the home; six sons and five daughters-in-law, Tom and Joyce Harrald, Watauga; Albert and Connie Harrald; Harvey and Gwen Harrald and Dallas and Lana Harrald, all of Elizabethton; Jerry Harrald; Roger and Candy Harrald, all of Roan Mountain; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary Tester, Elizabethton; Rebecca Harrald, and Diane and Rickie Potter, all of Hampton; Violet and Rufus Hurt, Bluff City; 19 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ruby Bott, Frances Blevins and Nellie Taylor, all of Bristol, Va.; three brothers, Frank Hall, Dewey Hall and Joe Hall, all of Bristol, Va.; several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2004, in the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain, with Rev. Rufus Hurt and Rev. Arvil Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday prior to the service or at the residence 103 Thunder Road, Roan Mountain, at any time. The graveside service and burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 22, 2004 in Pine Hill Cemetery, Bristol, Va. Those planning to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Wednesday. Active pallbearers will be selected from sons and grandsons.
