Hardin Hobert O. Hardin, 88, 409 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital following an extended illness. A native of Carter County, he was the son of the late John and Hettie Frazier Hardin Mr. Hardin was a retired merchant and a member of the Hardin Brothers Quartet. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Cole Hardin of the home, one daughter, Dora Moneyhun, Oak Ridge; one son, Samuel "Buddy" Hardin, Morristown; one brother, Gilbert Hardin, Elizabethton; five granddaughters: Kay Moneyhun, Greeneville; Laura Moneyhun, Oak Ridge; Sandra Moneyhun, Powell; Tammy Hedge, Jupiter, Fla.; and Lori Armstrong, Erwin; four great-grandsons: Cody and Caleb Armstrong, Erwin; Thomas and Samuel Hines, Greeneville; and three great-granddaughters: Kaelie and Erin Ryan, Powell; and Shannon Hedge, Jupiter, Fla. Hardin, 88, 409 Washington Avenue, Elizabethton, Tenn., who died Monday, Aug. 7, 2000, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 11, 2000, at New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church, with the Revs. Ray Colbaugh and Bill Greer officiating. Music will be under the direction of the New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church Choir. Interment will follow at the Ritchie Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bill Hedge, William Hines, Mike Armstrong, Robert Ryan, Olan Hardin and Harold Lowe. The family will receive friends from 6:30-9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 10, 2000, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel.
