Hardin Mrs. Hildred Pearl Hardin, 81, 2476 Siam Road, Elizabethton, died Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Appalachian Christian Village. Mrs. Hardin was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late James David and Lillie Belle Taylor Clemons. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ottie E. Hardin, November 17, 1981, and by five sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Hardin was a member of Siam Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher for over 50 years. Survivors include four sons and three daughters-in-law, Lynn and Linda Hardin, Elizabethton, Eddie and Jackie Hardin, Greenwood, S.C., Rev. Gary and Kathy Hardin, Dayton, Tenn., and Larry Hardin, Johnson City. Seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HARDIN -- Funeral services for Mrs. Hildred Pearl Hardin, 81, 2476 Siam Road, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, June 23, 2001, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at Siam Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Music will be provided by Billy Anderson, organist, Robin Montgomery, soloist, Dr. Joe Hardin, trumpeter, and Kathy Hardin, pianist. Interment will be in the Nave Cemetery. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 1:50 p.m. Tuesday, will be Doug Bailey, Dan Crowe, Charles Lipford, Hunter Estep, Carroll Montgomery, Ed Strickland, Rick Arnold, Berlaskie Bowers and Steve Myers. Honorary pallbearers will be her church family and close neighbors and friends at Appalachian Christian Village. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a son and daughter-in-law, Lynn and Linda Hardin, 210 West H. Street, Elizabethton. Mrs. Hardin will be moved to the church one hour before services. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
