CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Virginia Ruth Hardin, 1 Sep 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Virginia R. Hardin Virginia Ruth Hardin, 80, 108 Guinn Street, Elizabethton, died Monday, September 1, 2003 in the Pine Ridge Care Center. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late James and Nettie McNeal Estep. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Hardin was a member of Stoney Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard C. Hardin, on December 16, 1980, and by a brother, Rev. Howard C. Estep. Survivors include a daughter, Ann Blevins, of Johnson City; a sister, Lillian Hyder, of Johnson City; a grandson, Leonard James Blevins, of Columbia, S.C.; an adopted grandson, Ernie Davidson; several nieces and nephews, and two sisters-in-law, Marion Estep, of Colton, Calif. and Evelyn Wilson, of Elizabethton. Funeral services for Virginia R. Hardin will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, September 3, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Richard Estep and Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, September 4, 2003 in the Blevins Cemetery (Stoney Creek). Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of her sister, Mrs. Lillian Hyder, 1204 Lester Harris Road, Johnson City.
