CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Bessie "Bette" Peters Harms, 9 Aug 2002 ----¤¤¤---- Bessie P. Harms PIKEVILLE, Ky. -- Mrs. Bessie "Bette" Peters Harms, 80, formerly of Elizabethton, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2002, in Pikeville. Mrs. Harms was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the late Charlie "Pap" and Lottie Hinkle Peters. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Harms; a daughter, Ruth Harms; three brothers and one sister. Survivors include one son, Phillip Elliott, Regina, Ky.; one daughter, Kelsy Paulette Frank, Pittsburgh; one brother, the Rev. H. Brooks Peters, Elizabethton; two sisters, Ruth Wilson, Morristown, and Thelma Cristoforo, N. Easton, Mass.; three granddaughters, one grandson; and one niece, Charlene Kane, Elizabethton. A memorial service for Mrs. Harms will be announced later. Donations in memory of Mrs. Harms may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation, the Society fo rthe Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, or Animal Friends.
