CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - James B. Harris, Jr., 8 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- James B. Harris, Jr. James B. Harris, Jr., 77, 103 Old Stoney Loop, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at his residence. A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Etta Harris Winters. He was a former employee of Leon-Ferenbach of Johnson City. He attended the Elizabethton Church of God. Survivors include his wife, Nellie Montgomery Harris; one son, William Gary Harris, Elizabethton; a step-daughter, Elizabeth Kay Cox, of the home; two sisters, Shirley Caldwell, of Fresno, Ca., and Margaret King, Elizabethton; one brother, Gurney Ray Winters, Hampton; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Harris and Jamie Harris. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HARRIS -- Funeral services for James B. Harris, Jr., 77, 103 Old Stoney Loop, Elizabethton, who died Tuesday will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2002 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Herman D. Miller officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Friday in the Harris Cemetery, Shell Creek. Active pallbearers who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 10 a.m. Friday will be Ronald Reed, Terry King, Chris King, Randy Montgomery, David Montgomery, and David Cox. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, October 10, 2002 in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
