CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Charles W. Haynes, 19 Jun 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Charles W. Haynes, 68, of Fall Branch, died Sunday, June 19, 2005, at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Haynes was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Charles C. and Pauline Hodges Haynes. Mr. Haynes was a member of First Christian Church, Elizabethton, and attended First Christian Church, Johnson City. He was a graduate of East Tennessee State University and retired from T.V.A. He was a member of the Overton Masonic Lodge #5, Rogersville, and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was also an avid UT fan. He served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Survivors include a sister, Charlotte Brumit, Johnson City; a special cousin, Carol Blevins, Elizabethton, and her daughter, Becky Blevins, Fall Branch; three nephews and their wives, Steve and Sandy Brumit, Kingsport, John and Terri Brumit, Elizabethton, and Bill Brumit, Knoxville; and a niece and her husband, Betsy and Rich Moakler, Johnson City. Several great-nephews, great- nieces, and other cousins also survive. A graveside service for Mr. Haynes will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, June 24, at Happy Valley Memorial Park with Dr. Don Marshall, minister, officiating. Those attending are asked to meet at the cemetery at 9:55 a.m. Friday. Honorary pallbearers will be Steve Brumit, John Brumit and Bill Brumit. Those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers may make donations to the Shriners Hospital for Children, Jericho Temple, P.O. Box 5548, Kingsport, TN 37663.
