Heaton Elizabeth S. Heaton, of Travelers Rest, S.C., died Saturday, June 8, 2002. She was a resident of Beverly Healthcare, Hendersonville, N.C., at the time of her death. Miss Heaton was a native of Roan Mountain and a daughter of the late Elijah Franklin and Sarah Pritchard Heaton. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Frank Heaton and Billy G. Heaton, and a sister, Corinth Heaton Oxendine. Miss Heaton was a member of Roan Mountain United Methodist Church. A faithful and loyal caregiver, she spent most of her adult life caring for Mr. and Mrs. W.A. (Dorothy Heaton) Crumley and Mrs. John K. Heaton. Survivors include two sisters, Anna Belle Hitechew, Jonesborough, and Eloise Gray, Roan Mountain, and five brothers, James Heaton, Minneapolis, N.C., Harry Heaton, Roan Mountain, Ed Heaton, Gray, Robert Heaton, Colonial Heights, Va., and Paul Heaton of South Carolina. The Wood Mortuary, Inc., (877) 3353, is in charge of arrangements. HEATON -- A memorial service for Elizabeth S. Heaton, of Travelers Rest, S.C., who died Saturday, June 8, 2002, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at Roan Mountain United Methodist Church with her nephew, the Rev. John Lawson Hitechew, and Pastor Stephen Morrison officiating. Music will be provided by her nieces, Patsy Barnett and Glenda Gray. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Roan Mountain United Methodist Church, Roan Mountain, Tenn. The Wood Mortuary, Inc., is in charge of arrangements
