Mr. Henry was a native of Carter County and a son of the late John H. and Sally Treadway Henry. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Price. Mr. Henry was a retired employee of North American Rayon Corporation. He was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Myrtle Whitaker Henry; a daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Luther McKeehan, Elizabethton; a son-in-law, Don Price, Johnson City; four sisters, Mrs. Maude Hyder, Elizabethton, Mrs. Phyllis Luster and Mrs. Evelyn Edwards, both of Telford, and Mrs. Iona Aiken, Chesapeake, Va.; four brothers, Saunders Henry, Telford, Charles Henry and Ray Henry, both of Cayce, S.C., and John Henry, Johnson City; two grandsons and their wives, Jim and Vickie Price, Knoxville, and Andrew and Crystal McKeehan, Elizabethton; three granddaughters, Donna Price, Nashville, Bethany Price, Greensboro, N.C., and Laura McKeehan, Indianapolis, Ind.; a great-grandson, Nicholas Asher Price; and a special little friend, Whitney Livingston. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HENRY -- Funeral services for Kitz Henry, 85, 311 North East Street, Elizabethton, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Monday at First Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Phil Poston officiating. Mrs. Carol Bowers, organist, will provide the music. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of Peace at Happy Valley Memorial Park at 11 a.m. Tuesday. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the church at 7:50 p.m. Monday and also at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, will be Jack Hyder, Kent Hyder, Dan Hyder, Jim Aiken, Doug Henry, David Ray Henry, David Whitaker and Tyler Moody. Honorary pallbearers will be his church family, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the church. Friends may also call at the residence. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
