CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Annie Muriel Hensley, 29 Apr 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Annie M. Hensley Mrs. Annie Muriel Hensley, 87, Hill View Care Center, Elizabethton, formerly of Wilbur Dam Road, Elizabethton, died there on Tuesday, April 29, 2003. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late E.A. and Ella Berry Morrell. Mrs. Hensley was a cook at Siam Elementary School for several years. She was also a member of Siam Baptist Church. Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Robert Hensley; a son, Robert Dean Hensley; three sisters, Pauline Curtis, Ruby Gibson, and Mildred Estep, and three brothers, Ralph Morrell, Guy Morrell, and Earl Morrell. Survivors include a grandson, Robert Eugene Hensley and several nieces and nephews. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HENSLEY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Muriel Hensley, 87, of Hill View Care Center, Elizabethton, formerly of Wilbur Dam Road, Elizabethton, who died on Tuesday, April 29, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jack Roddy officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 2, 2003 in the VanHuss Cemetery. Mr. Bill Anderson will provide the music. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday, will be John Allen, Henry Allen, Sam Combs, Gene Sparks, Bill Hamilton, Eston Treadway, Jack Montgomery, and Johnny Eugene Moore. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Robert E. Walter, Curtis Estep, Alf Estep, Alphas Anderson, Hunter Estep, Dan Crowe, Ed Strickland, Ralph Wilson, Lynn Treadway, Kenny Treadway, Marvin Elliott, John Rednour, Bill Allen, Doug Bailey, Dana Earl Carden, Bill Curtis, Pat Curtis, Max VanHuss, Charles Lipford, Carroll Montgomery, Lowell Tedder, Sam Ward, Martin Nave, Howard Nave, Wendell Treadway and Berlaski Bowers. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:30 a.m. Friday to go to the cemetery.
