Mr. Henson was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a son of the late Frank and Ida Mann Henson. Mr. Henson was a maintenance worker at Land Harbor in Spruce Pine, N.C. He was a member of Piney Grove Church of Christ. Survivors include a daughter, Connie Henson, Elizabethton; a brother and sister-in-law, Clay and Goldie Henson, Lenoir, N.C.; and two sisters, Virgie Cable, Elizabethton, and Bernice Hartley, Butler. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. HENSON -- Funeral services for Herbert "Hub" Henson, 70, 1447 Poga Road, Butler, who died Sunday, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Piney Grove Church of Christ, Butler, with Mr. Dean Estep, minister, officiating. Music will be by the church choir. Interment will follow in the Flat Springs Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be friends. Mr. Henson will be taken to the church on Tuesday afternoon where the family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
