A native of Carter County, he was a son of the late Sam and Bertha Hampton Honeycutt. He was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and two sisters. He was retired from the U.S. Army after 20 years of service. He was also retired from the Flight Line of Patterson Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colo. He was a member of the Christian Church in Colorado Springs. He served in the service during World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the V.F.W. in Colorado Springs and was a member of the Retired Enlisted Association. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Berry Honeycutt; two daughters: Kay Stapleton, Illinois; and Donna Levi, Tempe, Ariz.; three step-daughters: Patricia Bowers, Wilma Huskins, and Kathy Taylor, all of Elizabethton; three brothers: J.C. Honeycutt, Watauga; Hoover Honeycutt, Lake City, Fla.; and Ed Honeycutt, Bristol; four grandsons, five step-grandchildren and nine step-great grandchildren. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. HONEYCUTT -- Memorial services for Raymond Honeycutt, 75, 1357 Broad Street, Elizabethton, who died Friday, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Sunday in Memorial Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Bill Duncan and the Rev. Jerry Honeycutt officiating. Interment will be in the National Cemetery, Mountain Home, at 10 a.m. Monday. Active pallbearers will be Buster Arnold, Carson Puckett, Rondal Honeycutt, Michael Huskins, Rick Montgomery, Alfred Campbell, Ray Basham, Scotty Montgomery and Joey Montgomery. Friends may call at the residence any time. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 9:15 a.m. Monday to go to the cemetery. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
