CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Alma R. Holden, 4 Dec 2003

Mrs. Alma R. Holden, 83, 154 Earl Taylor Road, Elizabethton, died 
Thursday, December 4, 2003, at her residence following a brief illness. 
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late David A. 
and Matilda Fields Johnson. 
She was retired from the Dietary Department of Hermitage Health Center 
and was a member of Zion Baptist Church. 
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Holden; three sisters 
and four brothers. 
Survivors include three daughters, Louise Holden, of the home; Margaret 
Ferrell and Ann Price, both of Elizabethton, and one son, Richard Holden, 
Elizabethton; two brothers, Leonard Johnson, Elizabethton, and Buster 
Johnson, Roan Mountain; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. 
Several nieces and nephews also survive. 
A private graveside service for Mrs. Alma R. Holden will be conducted 
Saturday, December 6, 2003, with Mr. Brian Ferrell officiating. Friends 
may call at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home any time Saturday morning. Online
