CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Nellie Hayes Holloway, 7 Sep 2004

Nellie Hayes Holloway, 94, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, Roan Mountain, 
formerly of Myrtle Avenue, Johnson City, died Tuesday, September 
7, 2004, at Cannon Memorial Hospital, Newland, N.C.
Mrs. Holloway was a native of Carter County and had lived in Johnson City 
since 1935. She was a daughter of the late Elza Harrison Hayes and Martitia 
Hatley Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 
husband, Blair Holloway.
Mrs. Holloway was a member of Unaka Avenue Baptist Church. She was a retired 
textile industry employee.
Survivors include one sister, Emily Hampton, Flint, Mich., and several nieces 
and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, September 10, from the 
Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel with the Rev. Mike Tyson officiating. 
Interment will follow graveside services at 1 p.m. Saturday, September 11, 
at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at 
the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at 
the funeral home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends.
