Hopson Mrs. Helen R. Hopson, of Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton, formerly of 103 Moreland Gap Road, Roan Mountain, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness. Mrs. Hopson was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late James B. and Vena Crowder Odom. Mrs. Hopson was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Roan Mountain. Survivors include her husband, Fred Hopson, Roan Mountain; two sisters, Beatrice Thomas, Unicoi, and Norma Stanfield, Cedar Lake, Ind.; and two brothers, Deward Odom, Highland, Ind., and Howard Odom, Tucson, Ariz.
