Helen R. Hopson

Mrs. Helen R. Hopson, of Hillview Health Center, Elizabethton, formerly 
of 103 Moreland Gap Road, Roan Mountain, died Tuesday, November 20, 2001, 
at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following a brief illness.
   Mrs. Hopson was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late 
James B. and Vena Crowder Odom. 
   Mrs. Hopson was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of 
Roan Mountain.
   Survivors include her husband, Fred Hopson, Roan Mountain; two sisters, 
Beatrice Thomas, Unicoi, and Norma Stanfield, Cedar Lake, Ind.; and two 
brothers, Deward Odom, Highland, Ind., and Howard Odom, Tucson, Ariz. 
Several nieces and nephews also survive.

   HOPSON -- Committal and entombment services for Mrs. Helen R. Hopson, 
formerly of 103 Moreland Gap Road, Roan Mountain, who died Tuesday, 
November 20, 2001, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday, November 23, 
in the Mausoleum of Hope at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. 
Richard Stout officiating. Friends may call at Tetrick Funeral Home 
in Elizabethton at their convenience. The family, minister and friends 
wishing to attend the committal service are requested to meet at the 
cemetery at 10:55 a.m. Friday. Condolences may be sent to the family
