CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Harry W. Hutchins, 31 May 2004 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Harry W. Hutchins, 88, Hillview Health Center, formerly of North Sycamore Street, Elizabethton, departed from his earthly home Monday, May 31, 2004 . Graveside service of the Celebration of Life will be conducted at Happy Valley Memorial Park at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2004, with Dr. Don Marshall, minister, officiating. Those wishing to go to the graveside service, please meet at Tetrick Funeral Home at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to go in procession to Happy Valley Memorial Park. Harry was a native of Bland, Va., and the son of the late John R. and Rebecca Keeling Hutchins. His grandparents were the late William S. and Rhoda Harmon Hutchins and A.J. and Francis Keeling. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Ruth Milhorn Hutchins; a daughter, Brenda Hutchins Richardson; a grandson, Tommy Richardson; five brothers, Ellis, Charles 'Boo," William, Garnett and Bascom Hutchins; and three sisters, Virginia "Jane" Hutchins, Margery Smith and Myrtle Campbell. Survivors are his wife, Polly Morgan Hutchins; two sons and daughters- in-law, Randall and Carol Hutchins and Farrell and Sherry Hutchins; seven grandchildren, John Hutchins and wife Pam, Melanie Davis, Tammy Buchanan and husband Tim, Connie Shepard, Karen Barnett and husband Jon, and Charlie and Jeff Hutchins; 11 great-grandchildren, Joshua and Michael Hutchins, Taylor and Jacob Davis, Maison and Madisson Barnett, Jordan and Ryan Buchanan, Eric and Gunner Shepard and Megan Hutchins; and two special faithful visitors, Jessica Lee and Leo Justin Yates. For those who prefer memorials in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Christian Church, 513 Hattie Avenue, Elizabethton, TN 37643, the Reachout Project, which served Harry so faithfully, or First Baptist Church, 212 East F Street, Elizabethton, TN 37643.
