Martha A. Heatherly

   Mrs. Martha A. Colbaugh Heatherly, 85, 3136 West Cactus Road, 
Phoenix, Ariz., died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at Glendale Care Center, 
Glendale, Ariz.
   Mrs. Heatherly was a native of Carter County and a daughter of the 
late Willie C. and Nancy Peters Colbaugh. She was also preceded in 
death by her husband, Charles E. Heatherly, December 22, 1992, three 
sisters, Eula Faye Colbaugh, Emma May Dean Colbaugh and Magdalene Garland, 
and two brothers, Dewey E. Colbaugh and Clyde Colbaugh.
   Mrs. Heatherly had lived in Arizona since 1945. She was a member of 
New Liberty Free Will Baptist Church.
   Survivors include two sons, Charles Lloyd Heatherly, Pasadena, Calif., 
and Luther S. Heatherly, Phoenix, Ariz.; a daughter, Gloria Jean Edmondson, 
Elizabethton; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two nieces, 
Sandra Street and Sue Alderson, both of Elizabethton; two nephews, Dewey 
Colbaugh, Atlanta, Ga., and Roger Colbaugh, San Diego, Calif.; and four 
sisters-in-law, Verna Peters, Laura Holder and Eva Louise Heatherly, all 
of Elizabethton, and Eva Heatherly, Roan Mountain.
   Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
   
   HEATHERLY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Martha A. Colbaugh Heatherly, 
85, 3136 West Cactus Road, Phoenix, Ariz., who died Tuesday, March 5, 
2002, will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 9, at Memorial Funeral 
Chapel with the Rev. Ray Colbaugh officiating. Interment will be in the 
Garland Cemetery. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. 
The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday at the funeral
