Humphrey Mrs. Hannah Mae Humphrey, 80, 126 Warrior Lane, Johnson City, died Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Johnson City Medical Center following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Humphrey was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Loss "L.E." and Ella Mae Morris Whitehead. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Humphrey, in 1973, a son, John Edward Hughes, and by two brothers and two sisters. Mrs. Humphrey had been a sitter and care giver for the elderly. She was a member of Milligan Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, David K. Humphrey, Johnson City; five daughters, Brenda Harkleroad, Bristol, Judy Mescal Hooks and Cynthia Humphrey, both of Johnson City, Manzanita Humphrey, Jonesborough, and Naomi Reedy, Erwin; one uncle, Robert Morris, Johnson City; and two aunts, Annice McCracken, Crossville, and Margie Erwin, Johnson City. Eight grandchildren, three great- grandchildren and several cousins also survive. These services entrusted to Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home. www.Funeral-Plans.com/Hathaway-Percy HUMPHREY -- Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah Mae Humphrey, 80, 126 Warrior Lane, Johnson City, who died Sunday, April 7, 2002, will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, in the Sunset Chapel of Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home with the Rev. Willie Justice officiating. Music will be by Jerry Barnett, soloist, and Kay Burnette, organist. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, at Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be David Humphrey, Arnold Hooks, Fred Harkleroad, Grant Reedy, Frank Moore, Joe Reedy, Michael Phipps and Patrick Michonski. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Andrew Stephen May, Dr. Stanley M. Hodges, Dr. Fawwaz I. Hamati, Dr. Shoba, Jody Moore and the Staff of 6300 of Johnson City Medical Center and ICU. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Everyone will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery.
