CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Rosa Lewis Hunter, 30 Jan 2003 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Rosa L. Hunter Rosa Lewis Hunter, 88, of Life Care Center of Elizabethton, formerly of 620 Walnut Street, Elizabethton, died Thursday, January 30, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. Mrs. Hunter was a native of Carter County and the daughter of the late Nick and Tishie Lowe Lewis. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John S. Hunter, June 9, 1987, a sister, Bernice Baker, and a brother, William Lewis. Mrs. Hunter was a member of Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church and was a retired restaurant owner. She was a member of the Elizabethton Senior Citizens Center. Survivors include a sister, Maggie Galliher, Watauga, and a brother, Nick Lewis Jr., Deltona, Fla. Jackie Cole officiating. Interment will follow at Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be the men of Roan Street Free Will Baptist Church. Honorary pallbearer will be Dr. Eugene Galloway. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
