CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Nathan Hyder, 3 Oct 2002 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Nathan Hyder McCOMB, Miss. -- Nathan Hyder, 84, died Thursday, October 3, 2002, in Kenner, La. Mr. Hyder was a native of Hampton, Tenn., and a longtime resident of Adrian, Mich., and Hampton. He was the son of the late Nat and Ethel Woodby Hyder and was also preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Hyder, and two brothers, Carl Hyder and Don Hyder. Mr. Hyder was a retired spot welder and Union Steward, U.A.W., with Stubnitz Green Company in Adrian, Mich. He was a member of Fairview Free Will Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II, and was a lifetime member of the D.A.V. Survivors include his wife, Mamie Bailey Hyder, Magnolia, Miss.; three sons and daughters-in-law, Barney and Lyndia Hyder, Logansport, Ind., Blaine and Debbie Hyder, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Burles and Donna Hyder, Zachory, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Burnis and T.J. Bowman and Brenda and Lonnie Cox, all of Magnolia, Miss.; a brother, Leonard Hyder, Hampton, Tenn.; and two sisters, Evea Casey, Elizabethton, Tenn., and Vernie Stevens, Hampton, Tenn. Nine grandchildren and six great- grandchildren also survive. Funeral services and interment will be conducted at Hartman Chapel, McComb, Miss., at 11 a.m. Monday, October 7. Interment will follow.
