CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Ethel Ada Ingram, 17 Mar 2003 ----¤¤¤---- Ethel A. Ingram Ethel Ada Ingram, 86, formerly of Roan Mountain, died Monday, March 17, 2003 at the residence of a daughter, Diane Pate, Iron Station, N.C. A native of Carter County, she was a daughter of the late Osar and Jennie Whitehead. Mrs. Ingram was retired from the S.H. Kress Company and Raymonds Fine Foods. She was a member of the Whitehead Hill Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Pat Ingram in 1986, and by a brother, Stewart Whitehead, who was killed in World War II. Survivors include five daughters and four sons-in-law, Sue Whitehead and Ray Burleson, Elizabethton; Jean and Douglas Hodge, of Portland, Texas; Patsy and Earl Hathaway, of Milton, Fla.; Diane and Billy Pate, of Iron Station, N.C.; Phyllis Edwards, of Denver, N.C.; three sons and daughters- in-law, Kenneth and Cardene Ingram, of Fort Mill, S.C.; Wayne and Faye Ingram, of Denver, of N.C., and Jerry Ingram and Kay Buchanan, Roan Mtn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Edith Russell and the late George Russell, of Pensacola, Fla.; Lucille and Nick Mea, of Pensacola, Fla.; one brother and sister-in-law, Leonard and Audrey Whitehead, of Pensacola, Fla.; 24 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; three nieces; one nephew; one great niece; three great nephews, and several cousins also survive. Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. INGRAM -- Funeral services for Mrs. Ethel Ada Ingram, 86, formerly of Roan Mountain, who died Monday, March 17, 2003, will be conducted at 8 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 2003 in Memorial Funeral Chapel with Mr. Mark Banks, Mr. Raymond Hill, Mr. Lynn Hunter, and Mr. Dwayne Calhoun officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 21, 2003 in the Largent Cemetery, Roan Mountain. The Reeves Trio will provide the music. Pallbearers will be grandsons. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence of a daughter, Sue Whitehead, 189 Clay Little Road, Elizabethton.
