Mabel T. Jones 





    LEXINGTON, S.C. -- A service for Mabel Treadway Jones, 84, of Lexingtion, 

who died Sunday, July 23, 2006, will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, at 

Lexington Baptist Church. The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. 

Wednesday, prior to the service. Interment will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 

27, at Happy Valley Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tenn. 





    Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel, and Tetrick Funeral Home, 

Elizabethton, Tenn., are in charge. Memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 

Lexington County Recreation and Aging Commission, 125 Parker Street, 

Lexington, SC 29072. 





    Mrs. Jones was the widow of Homer M. Jones. Born December 30, 1921, in 

Elizabethton, Tenn., she was the daughter of the late C.E. Treadway and Hattie 

Garrison Treadway. She was a 25-year employee of North American Rayon 

Corporation and was a volunteer with hospitals in Elizabethton and Beaufort. 

She was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, Baptist Church of 

Beaufort, S.C., and Lexington Baptist Church. 





    Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by a sister, Grace Treadway Wilcox, and a 

brother, Carl Treadway. 





    Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Jennie and Dick Hatfield of 

Lexington; grandchildren, Jason and Amy Hatfield of Phoenix, Ariz., Kelly and 

Derrell Lambert and Patrick Hatfield, all of Lexington; great-grandson, 

Clayton Lambert of Lexington; niece, Carla Csernak of Clemson, and nephew, Ron 

Wilcox of Kingsport, Tenn.
