Christine G. Jenkins

Christine Gass Jenkins, 73, S. Riverside Drive, Elizabethton, 
died Friday, November 21, 2003, at Hillview Health Center.
Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Greene County and a daughter of the 
late Charles Hardin and Hazel Casteel Gass. She was also preceded 
in death by her husband, Richard Lee Jenkins, a son, Allen Jenkins, 
and a brother, Charles Duane Gass.
Mrs. Jenkins had lived in Elizabethton since 1943. She was a member 
of Oak Street Baptist Church. 
Survivors include three sisters, Joan Miller, Alice Ramsey and Lois 
Schaff, all of Elizabethton; and seven brothers, William Ross Gass, 
Yulee, Fla., Everette Lee Gass, of the home, the Rev. Phil Gass, 
Jonesborough, Jimmy C. Gass, Marietta, Ga., Lewis Gass, Ranger, Ga., 
Michael J. Gass and Bobby Jack Gass, both of Elizabethton. Five 
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 23, 
at Happy Valley Memorial Park with the Rev. Bob Polk officiating. 
Interment will follow the service. Pallbearers will be brothers and 
nephews. The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. 
Sunday at the funeral home. Friends may also call at the residence.
