CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Carl Ray Jenkins, 10 Mar 2004 ----¤¤¤---- Carl Ray Jenkins, 71, West LaRua Street, Pensacola, Fla., died Wednesday, March 10, 2004, at Baptist Hospital of Pensacola. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Carter County and a son of the late Fred and Dora Bell Sims Jenkins. He was also preceded in death by a brother and two sisters. Mr. Jenkins had lived in Florida since 1981 and was self-employed in the heating and air conditioning business. He attended the Church of God. Survivors include his devoted wife, Lula Pingleton Jenkins; one son, Tommy Ray Jenkins, Ballground, Ga.; two daughters, Carolyn Mauldin and Brenda Boyd, both of Milton, Fla.; two stepdaughters, Diana Palmer, Durham, N.C., and Caroline Jenkins, Cantonment, Fla.; one sister, Dorothy Hill, Elizabethton; and two brothers, Jack Jenkins, Elizabethton, and Blaine W. Jenkins, Pensacola, Fla. Twelve grandchildren, 22 great- grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 3 p.m. Monday, March 15, in the Jenkins Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Palmer officiating. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 2 to 2:45 p.m. Monday at Memorial Funeral Chapel. Friends may also call at the residence of a sister, Dorothy Hill, Coal Chute Road, Elizabethton. To those who prefer, memorials may be made to the Jenkins Cemetery Fund.
