CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Blaine Wiley "Papaw" Jenkins, 30 Mar 2005 ----¤¤¤---- Blaine Wiley "Papaw" Jenkins, 83, of Pensacola, Fla., died Wednesday, March 30, 2005. Mr. Jenkins was a native of Elizabethton and the son of the late Fred and Belle Jenkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and Carl Jenkins, and two sisters, Mary Thurman and Ruby Tunney. Mr. Jenkins was a World War II veteran and was an avid bowler. Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Deloris Jenkins; three sons and daughters-in-law, Lynn and Robin Jenkins, Lee and Sue Jenkins and Doug and Martha Jenkins; a daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Lance Pierce; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Ilene Jenkins, and a sister, Dorothy Hill, Elizabethton. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Jenkins will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 4, at Oakland Funeral Home with graveside services following at Barrancas National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to Circle Baptist Church, 808 New Warrington Road, Pensacola, FL 32506.
