Johnson 01/18/99 Roy T. Johnson, 81, 678 Lutie Johnson Road, Elizabethton, died Sunday, January 17, 1999, at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Mountain Home, following a lengthy illness. Mr. Johnson was a native and lifelong resident of Carter County and a son of the late Jim and Wedy Campbell Johnson. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter and four great-grandchildren. Mr. Johnson was a retired molder from the Johnson City Foundry with 32 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II and a lifetime member of the Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166. Survivors include his wife, Lutie Bowman Johnson, of the home; three daughters, Mildred Johnson, of the home, Arleeta Presnell and Comalettia Presnell, both of Johnson City; and a brother, Walter Johnson, Johnson City. Eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements. JOHNSON -- Funeral services for Roy T. Johnson, 81, 678 Lutie Johnson Road, Elizabethton, who died Sunday, will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday in the Veterans Garden of Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, prior to the service. Hathaway-Percy Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
