Bill Jones

Bill Jones, 80, 438 Old Buck Mountain Road, Roan Mountain, died 
Monday, May 12, 2003, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended 
illness.
Mr. Jones was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Dave and 
Minnie Hamby Jones. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie 
Brewer Jones, November 9, 1993, and by six sisters and two brothers.
Mr. Jones was of the Baptist faith and was a farmer.
Survivors include two sisters, Ola Hicks and Mary Lewis, both of 
Elizabethton, and several nieces and nephews.

JONES -- Funeral services for Bill Jones, 80, 438 Old Buck Mountain Road, 
Roan Mountain, who died Monday, May 12, 2003, will be conducted at 7 p.m. 
Tuesday, May 13, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Rhododendron Chapel, Roan 
Mountain, with the Rev. Tull Oaks Jr. and the Rev. Jim Storie officiating. 
Graveside services and interment will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at 
Jones Cemetery, Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be selected from 
family and friends. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Stanley Hodges and 
the Rev. Tull Oaks Sr. Those who plan to attend the graveside service are 
asked to meet at 9:55 a.m. Wednesday at the cemetery. The family will 
receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Rhododendron Chapel of
