Obituary appeared in the Saturday, December 30, 1944 Elizabethton Star

Rosa Jones, 70, Route 1 Elizabethton, died December 29 at 3:30 p.m. at her
home after a ten day illness.  She was a life long resident of Carter County
and a member of the Valley Forge Christian church.  Survivors are the husband,
W. I. Jones, and six sons, Johnny, Route 1, Campbell, Hampton, Mat,
Morgantown, N.C., Bobby, Joy, N.C., Billy, Valley forge, Pvt. Roby, Fort
Benning, GA.; two daughters, Mrs. Mollie Deloach, Route 1, Miss Ida Jones,
Valley Forge, 17 grandchildren and three brothers, Charles Williams, Hampton,
John Williams, Erwin, Robert Williams, Johnson City.  Funeral services, with
the Tetrick Funeral Home directing, will be held at the home Sunday 2:30 p.m.
with the Rev. W.W. Baldwin officiating.  Burial will be in the Williams
Cemetery.  Pall bearers, John Montgomery, Dick Riddle, Abraham Hathaway, Ed
Hathaway, Blaine Chambers, Monroe Stevens.
