CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Norman E. Julian, 6 Feb 2004

Norman E. Julian, age 86, Roan Highlands Nursing Center, formerly 
of Old Siam Road, Elizabethton, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, at 
Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of 
Carter County, he was the son of the late Rev. Caine and Delia 
McKinney Julian. He was a retired employee of Bemberg Corporation 
after 30 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded 
in death by his wife, Ruth Evelyn Garland Julian and one brother, 
Nath Julian. He was a U.S. Army-Air Corp veteran, having served in 
World War II. He loved to fish and garden. 
Survivors include two sons, Jim Julian, Elizabethton, and Dan Julian, 
Unicoi; one sister, Geneva Blevins, Roan Highlands Nursing Center; 
one nephew, two nieces and one brother-in-law, James Hughes, Roan 
Mountain. 
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, 
2004, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace, with the Rev. Don 
Julian officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at 
Happy Valley Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from 
family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. 
Thursday, Feb. 12, at Tetrick Funeral Home, Chapel of Peace. Online
