CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Nell Julian, 23 Nov 2004

Nell Julian, 91, Hwy. 143, Roan Mountain, died Tuesday, November 
23, 2004, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Carter County, she was the daughter of the late Cain and 
Lena Ingram Julian. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death 
by two brothers, Earl and Ed Julian, and three sisters, Rose Collins, Lillie 
Largent and Betty Gibson. 

Ms. Julian was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.

Survivors include two daughters, Betty Julian Shell and Martha Julian 
Freeman, both of Roan Mountain; three grandchildren, Tami Shell Hughes, 
Roan Mountain, Lesia Freeman Griswold, Orlando, Fla., and Timothy Garfield 
Freeman, Roan Mountain; four great-grandchildren, Coty William Hughes, 
Casey Lynn Hughes, Timothy Garrett Freeman and Gracie Dawn Freeman, all of 
Roan Mountain; several nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Becky Paige, 
Roan Mountain.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 27, in 
the Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain, with Mr. Gerald 
Holly, minister, officiating. Music will be under the direction of Gerald and 
Gloria Holly. Interment will follow the funeral service at Richardson Cemetery, 
Roan Mountain. Active pallbearers will be Billy Julian, Clarence Largent, Ernie 
Largent, Eddie Largent, Lawrence Largent, Tim Freeman and Alan Griswold. 
Honorary pallbearers will be Garfield Freeman, William Hughes, Brad Morgan 
and Ray Blair. 
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, November 26, in the 
Rhododendron Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Home, Roan Mountain. Friends may also 
call at the residence of a granddaughter, Tami Hughes, 418 Hwy. 143, Roan
