CARTER COUNTY, TN - OBITUARIES - Ford Julian, 8 Mar 2005 --------------¤¤¤¤¤¤-------------- Ford Julian Ford Julian, 79, 109 Raymond Chambers Road, Roan Mountain, died Tuesday, March 8, 2005, at Sycamore Shoals Hospital after a lengthy illness. Mr. Julian was a native of Carter County and the son of the late Walt and Minnie Miller Julian. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Mr. Julian was a retired truck driver and a member of the Sunrise Freewill Baptist Church. Survivors include five sons and two daughters-in-law, Eddie and Wanda Julian, Ford Jr. and Karen Julian, Roger Julian and Daniel Julian, all of Roan Mountain, and Ricky Julian, Elizabethton; three daughters and sons-in-law, Verna and Rob Chambers and Tina and Tim Stanley, all of Roan Mountain, and Freida and Paul Street, Elizabethton; and his ex-wife, Anna Julian, Roan Mountain. Nineteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services for Mr. Julian will be conducted at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Rev. Charlie Trivett and Rev. Billy Morgan officiating. Graveside services and interment will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 10, in the Captain Nelson Cemetery. Military Graveside Honors will be provided by the Captain Lynn H. Folsom VFW Post #2166. Active pallbearers, who are requested to assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday, will be Charles Julian, Eddie Wayne Julian, Randy Julian, Roger Julian Jr., Robbie Chambers and Josh Stanley. Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Roan Highlands Nursing Home, Peggy Arnett, Tyron Powell, Frank Highsmith, Bill Highsmith, Richard Highsmith, Keith Perkins, friends and neighbors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Family and friends will assemble at the cemetery at 10:50 a.m. Thursday.
