A lifelong resident of Elizabethton, she was the daughter of the late Burnie Buckles Berry. Mrs. Keller retired from the Carter County Health Department as Home Health Aide, having cared for the elderly. A lifelong Democrat, she was a member of the Carter County Democrats and past chairperson of the Democratic Women's Club. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Arthur Kenneth Keller, of the home; two daughters, Debbie Bowers and husband Jim, and Sandy Keller, all of Elizabethton; a special daughter, Pat Woods and husband Gary; and two special sons, Arthur Sams and Lee Roy Bennett. She was the loving Nanny to five grandchildren, Nathan Woods, Vanessa Mink and husband Lucas, Veronica Woods, Allison and Sierra Pearce, and one great-grandson, Bodhi Mink. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the nursing staff of the 5500 wing of Johnson City Medical Center and Dr. Alan Forbush for the excellent care given during her illness. The memorial service for Mrs. Keller will be conducted at 8 p.m. Friday, December 14, in the Chapel of Peace of Tetrick Funeral Home with Rev. Larry Shorter officiating. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, prior to the service. Friends may also call at the residence at anytime. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Northeast, 207 N. Boone Street, Johnson City, TN 37601; or to the American Heart Association, 1101 N.
