The Elizabethton Star, 8 August 1929
        M. F. Kuhn, 78, died at his home near Keenburg this morning at 4 o'clock 
following an illness of two weeks' duration.

	Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the residence, the 
Rev. E. E. Hazelwood and Rev. C. A. Barker, officiating.  Interment will be in 
the family cemetery.

	Survivors are two sons, J. L. Kuhn, Keenburg, Sam E. Kuhn, city; and 
five daughters, Mrs. J. C. Lowrie, Mrs. L. D. Chambers, Mrs. Maud Jett, city, 
Mrs. Laura Ellis, Knoxville, and Miss Carrie Kuhn, Keenburg."
